In South America, Power the World is raising funds to provide clean, sustainable energy for families without access to electricity in the form of a SOCCKET.

Created by Uncharted Play, SOCCKET is a soccer ball that also functions as a portable generator improving the lives of children and their families.The SOCCKET’s internal mechanism takes the kinetic energy from rolling and converts and stores it as electrical energy. After the game is finished, the included single-bulb LED lamp can be plugged into the ball to provide hours of light from just minutes of play.

So far, Power the World has obtained 3,600 SOCCKETS to be distributed. These SOCCKETS will benefit 18,000 people.
